Obviously this is in Wales and there are some very simple council workers in Merthyr, but it is yet more lunacy.

Some people have far too much power and far too little common sense

Yes, and much of it it seems to be in the tiny minds of the voting public.
How little do they realise what an extremely powerful thing an "x" in a box is, yet with such wild abandonment they cast it with all the accuracy of a p*ssed-up angler surrounded by fish but landing instead, the decaying remnants of some-one's old boot and then believing they have caught a wholesome meal capable of sufficing the masses. |

A simple solution for her would be to demand a letter from the council stating that they accept full responsibility for the safety of her son during the time he is out of her care.
I bet they'd be quick to find a way of working it out. |

Many primary schools will not allow parents inside without them making a formal appointment beforehand - sometimes up to a week in advance. They have to drop off and pick up their children at the gates.
Back in the days when I was at primary school, my parents could enter the building at the start or end of the day as they pleased and have a chat with the teachers or look at the work I produced. Those days are over and schools now function like prisons to keep children in and parents out. Dunblane has a lot to answer for this although our Orwellian government isn't far behind.

It's not about missing common sense - it's about adopting crazy policies that shaft people (a bit like the new rules surrounding rubbish bins/collections ?)

Quote:
![]() Noticed you mentioned Dunblane..... Virginia School Shooting: Another Government Black-Op? "In 1996 a similar incident occurred in Dunblane in Scotland where sixteen children and one adult were killed. The resulting inquiry recommended tighter control of handgun ownership, public feeling had turned against private gun ownership, allowing a much more restrictive ban on handguns to pass. It then emerged that the killer Thomas Hamilton was heavily involved in Freemasonry[LINK] , as well as running clubs for young boys, a fact which Labour and Tory ministers acknowledged in correspondence to each other. A a 100-year public secrecy order[LINK] was placed on the documents, along with the majority of other information relating to the case including the police report. There have been allegations that the lengthy closure order was placed on the report after it linked Hamilton to figures in the Scottish establishment, including two senior politicians and a lawyer."
