Perhaps if the Palestinian leaders had put as much effort and money into establishing a civilised state in the Middle East as they have trying to destroy the only liberal democracy in the area we might not have the problems we have today, perhaps their fellow muslims could have helped more as well instead of trying to destroy each other and us.

This is just ********. The Jews were a tiny minority of about 8% in what is now Israel in 1918 after large immigration in the decades before. Between then and 1948 they displaced the Palestinians by force and fraud and often the help of the British. What ever you say about the years after that it cannot be denied that the state of Israel was founded on a massive theft of territory and I'd be extremely ****** off if my family lost its home, land and property and I was forced from my homeland top live as a refugee.

Indeed this is all correct. The Arabs are semite peoples like the Jews and it is likely that most of the Palestinians have lived in Palestine since before the Jews left.

Islam as a religion is little more violent than Xtianity or Judaism and alot less than say the cult of Mars, if you think about it xtianity and Islam have alot in common.

Let have compare how many wars, conflicts and invasions since 1945 have been started by Xians and how many by Muslims.

Tell you what.

Just identify where in the New Testament, that is the Christian section of the bible that describes how a Christian should aspire to live, it advises let alone instructs the killing or injury of a non Christian.

Then and ONLY then will I listen to being told that islam is only a little more violent than Christianity.

Not what many misguided Christian people have done, the teachings of Christ. In other words what they SHOULD have done.

Then take Judaism and look at The Talmud and The Halakha, and show where contemporary Judaism, not the archaic stuff from the Tanakh, the up to date Rabbinical Law advocates killing in the way that The Koran and a-Hadith does.

Then show me where there is any change that has been made to either The Koran OR a-Hadith since their writing or for that matter how any change ever CAN be made.

Well actually the New testament is not the only xtian part of the bible. Nor is the bible the only important Xtian teaching.

How about where Jesus condemns a man to hell or suffering at least for marrying his brother's wife I believe. Or of course where he up-turns the tables and attacks people in the temple, which can certainly be taken as analogy and often has.

Also of course the teachings of Christ are often far less clear than Islam's and full of analogies and parables.

So we can cherry-pick the Jewish and Xtian stuff but not the Islamic? Why cant we use up-to-date Islamic teaching or Suffi ideas?
