Just one small edit and it makes perfect sense.

"Green Thing is a community that's here to help as many people as possible in as many countries as possible to do the Green Thing. A community of Green Things across the world will not only make a sizeable CO2 body count, it will encourage governments and businesses to do the Green Thing too."

There's nothing at all wrong in caring for the environment.

No matter if a person is in agreement with the involvement of mankind’s activities in global climate change or not, adopting an environmentally friendly life style as far as practical is nothing other than trying to keep the outside of your home as pristine as you try to keep the inside.

Ummm, no.

An untidy home exterior (overgrown plants, etc.) is far more environmentally sound than an exterior with pristine lawns.

Pristine is not the synonym for tidy.

A better definition is clean and free from contamination.

Chemicals in the home & garden

Taking the lousy out of delousing - Telegraph

As a nation, we spend £30million a year on over-the-counter potions on nits.

I imagine Bears are covered in nits.

LOL!

Nits are not the problem, it's what we do in the woods that you've got to watch out for!
