I have considered joining the RNLI myself if I move back to the coast in a few years. Those lads do an incredible job along with our boys in the Navy.
The whole charities issue is also in need of an overhaul, all the Live 8 stuff disgusted me. Frankly I'd rather pay twenty quid to go and see Metallica play in London and know it's going to the band, then pay eighty quid to go see them and pretend I'm making a difference to child poverty. It's a crock of sh**. For people like Bono and Geldoff it's just mastur_ation for their egos. Ea of dune |

I agree with Baron about how these things are carefully worded to deceive people.

I'm off to see Iron Maiden this summer as well, fantastic stuff. Slightly off topic I know, but I think us English are very lucky when it comes to music, no matter what your tatse is from Classical to Folk, from Rock to Heavy Metal, from Punk to Music Hall, we have such a good selection of musical artists from over the ages .At least we still have some things left to be proud of! ea of dune |

just been on the Charity Tearfund
Campaigning zone What can I do about climate change? There are three key ways that you can tackle climate change - speaking out, changing your lifestyle (and mobilising your church to do the same) and praying. <<<<<<< They have waggies of stuff about Climate Change Low carbon man Action # 1: Take action on the Climate Change Bill et al >>>> So there you have the answer pray {to Allah} Problem solved. but oddly nothing about war on .......Tearfund is a leading Christian relief and development charity, a movement of Christians who believe in justice, fair trade and standing with people in poverty. brings tears to my eyes. BTW I came upong the T R Fun site from a BBC {Fair & balenced} page BBC - Science & Nature - Climate Change

Notice all the 'solutions' amount to nothing more than sociological control. It's a certain kind of brainwashing, much like a ritual is. The mind gets into doing things automatically without even considering why they are doing such things. When someone is made to repeat certain actions over and over again it conditions the mind. Its a variant on saying something over and over again and even if it is a complete lie the mind never-the-less gets brainwashed into believing it. When that repetition is a physical action or set of physical actions though, the psychological potency of the brainwashing is much higher. If you look at what a cult does you will find many examples of rituals. Ritual prayers five times a day with the Muslims is a good example, as is the marching army. The main point is that everyone is doing the same repetitive actions over and over again. Did the Reds ever do this?

You might find this useful for getting some information that you might find impossible to find on their brainwashing site.
Just find their charity number and plug it into the search on the Charity Commission's website. Tearfund is registered as: "TO RELIEVE POVERTY, SUFFERING AND DISTRESS AND PREVENT DISEASE AND ILL HEALTH AMONG THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD; AND TO PROMOTE CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND EVANGELISM" Now making £50m/year and no mention of promoting global warming hype. Extract from the Central Register of Charities maintained by the Charity Commission for England and Wales
