It is claimed that an EU Directive is responsible for the legislation which could lead to the possibility that fire extinguishers might be banned from certain places:

Talksport radio presenter Mike Mendoza said just after 4 am this morning on his programme that the EU is behind the legislation mentioned in the report in The Times (on the link given in the first posting to this thread).
In the readers' comments section after the Times report on the link in the first posting to this thread John of London pointed out that the fire extinguisher colour coding system was "changed again by the EU." |

I heard the EU wats ALL flamable items removed from all homes.
