I have often said, I would kill for a smoke, now while I dont drink, we see how the once proud brave Scotsmen & women grovel before a stupid NWO law.

On my charming website on the HOME page and elsewhere I have a graphic and text:
We are pleased to announce all our guests,
that smoking is permitted in every page of this website.
Smoking is healthier than fascism.
This website is an ALCOHOL FREE ZONE. [yes even in Scotland]

This publican has also just pointed out that his customers have now shot off to inhabit other smoke free pubs ..But you told me that there was no demand!!
Well how can they have "now shot off to inhabit other smoke free pubs" seeing as all pubs are now no smoking.

Once again you miss pointing the finger at the true culprits for the pubs decline..the refusal of smelly smokers to breathe clean air and keep pubs open like the non smokers are clearly doing.
Well I point the finger at fascist scum who believe we should all be good little people and forget the idea of freedom of choice and private property.

And 50p a pint lager in the supermarkets as opposed to £2.75 a pint down the pub at a time when many wage earners are feeling the pinch from years of Labours continued taxation after taxation policy.
It's no surprise they need to keep raising taxes they have to pay for people to enforce the police state.

No I was replying to Fascist Tourettes Boy's own evidence that a pub was operating in quite rude financial health with a no smoking policy despite his repeated claims that no such establishments were evident or economically feasible before the smoking ban.

I remember being impressed with Nottingham Forest's website when I looked at it a few years ago - and, having just looked at it again, I can see that it is still very good: lots of pages to choose from if you scroll down to the bottom of the screen on the link below (what a pity UKIP don't have a website like it):

When I go to the city, I sit outside O'Brians and have my coffee and fag, watching the world go by, breathing the fresh frigid air from the mountains [and the car fumes] while the wimps are inside with the central heating and saying how cold it is.

[my sister, a materialist, had the heating on in her house last summer!]

As a non-smoker who hated the choking smoke, and the way it clinged to your clothes I must personally say I prefer pubs sicne the ban.

However, that's my opinion.

They are now turning the sights to alcohol now. But instead of clamping down on supermarkert chains, massive lager manufacturing plants or tacky bar chains, the real loser will be traditional pubs serving real ale. Prices are set to rocket, and whilst the corporations will be able to absorb the new hardships, the independent and local businesses will suffer further.

I don't have a problem with supermarkets selling beer/wine and spirits at a decent price. It's nice to be able to pop into the shops to pick up some bits and bobs and a bottle of wine. This was never a problem until the government started banning smoking.
If people want to smoke, for god sake let them, let pubs apply for a smoking license and fit some kind of ventilation system above the bar to keep the air clean for the staff, have a no smoking at the bar rule and a disclaimer which staff have to sign, and what's the problem? Where the hell has the choice gone in this country? Why can't leisure establishments which people have the choice of frequenting not choose what their policy is on smoking, just as they can choose their policy on which beers to sell?
