Default killing the countryside industry (pt87)

clear message here:-
BBC NEWS | England | Devon | Rural firms paying more for waste

Quote:
Businesses in a rural part of Devon are to pay more to have their waste collected than other urban companies.
South Hams District Council is changing from a fixed charge to a zoning system, because collecting waste from rural areas costs more in time and fuel. The council said urban business waste was cheaper to collect and by paying the same fees, those businesses were subsidising their rural counterparts

Everone should save their bags of rubbish until Saturday mornings and dump outside the townhall.

It would be quicker and very cheap for the collectors to gather it all up that way, wouldnt it?

I wonder where the leader of said council lives and how much provision of services cost to him

I wonder if he has a big drive just ready for rubbish bags

I remember living in Thurrock and not having our bins collected rang up the "civic centre" and explained to some jobsworth that if the rubbish was not collected it would be on the said centres doorstep on the morrow his answer we'll call the police and fine you I asked if he would like to be in the media the bins where done within the hour
