How long will it be before asthma suffers stop their neighbors growing flowers as the pollen will affect them.

That must be a very distressing situation for all of you, you have my sympathy. As a kid I had horrendous hay fever, which mercifuly I have more or less outgrown. But hay fever is only a problem in the summer, and does not turn a simple snack into a potential landmine of anaphylactic shock. Hayfever is just a nuicance.

I would suggest you allow some room for doubt re your assertion that MMR jab is to blame, although you could well be right. There is a suggestion that the peanut oil used in eczema treatments and other ointments could be to blame.

Persoanally I am unaware of a mere smell triggering an allergic reaction, but I don't claim to an expert on allergies.

I nearly choked on a nut a couple of years ago, never touch them now, damned dangerous them coconuts.

Seriously though,I was about 60 before becoming alergic to peanuts and other nuts, bad experience one night sitting in the garden, throat just closed up and I was gasping within 20 seconds of attack starting,it lasted about 10 minutes or so.

The merest whiff of a Sunday roast will have me throwing up (and then dry retching) in an extreme manner. Same with cooking fish.

Last time I smelled a roast I felt like my back was going to break, my stomach muscles were going so hard with the aggro. Put me down for a couple of hours that did.

Do I want meat banned? No. A ventilated room for the meat eaters to pursue their habit in would suffice.

Anybody with a nut allergy should steer clear of this forum.

Like it

Actually he carries an Ipipen and antihistimines and knows what to steer clear of
This forum and certain politicians.

The real worry is when things are not declared on packets he has eaten product which has the obligatory "made in a facility that handles nuts" and has not had any adverse effect

Worse thing he's allergic to is pineapple and buying me a beer

As long as I've got an antihistamine tablet and my salbutamol (blue) inhaler I'm happy thanks .

Well if they don't work and you are so unfortunate to live next to a smoker I'm sure you can get breathing apparatus on prescription

Occasionally they don't, and that's normally the point I get carted out in an ambulance.

Really? I didn't know this. City fumes and smoking are two of my 'triggers', so I might look into this.
