Is that avatar of yours a Methodist symbol?

I assume then you are a Methodist? I greatly admire the teachings of John Wesley.

Yes, you assume correctly I am a Methodist. I'm on the side of the fence which objects to rejoining the Church of England. Although, having said that, I greatly admire the work of the Archbishop of York.

And yes.....I think the smoking ban was good
Tell me Noachian, do you actually follow any moral code? I'm just wondering - because you talk of morality, yet your political positions seem laced with a disturbing support of violence and threats.

The Bible may say that alcoholism is bad, this does not mean you can then use violence to support that view.

Of course I do, like you just said, the Bible. Of course the Bible teachs we apply Morality to our lives and administrate it onto other people only by pure example and good doing. But when it comes to State matters, asthma rising epidemic and smoke pollution, then I think that legal action needs to be taken, why what other way is there to reduce smoke pollution within the public secotr other than to enforce law? I actually want to know, I am not challenging you, I am looking for a suggestion.

The only law that I can honestly think off the top of my head I agree with in the last ten years is the drinking hours reform.

Why should my freedom to drink alcohol when I want be controlled because a small number of tossers can't have a drink without ending up in the gutter or starting a fight.

Lock the ***** up or stop their benefits or bullwhipp em. Just stop punishing me. And give me back proper pubs that don't sell food, don't cator for children and have a permenant thick fog of fag smoke in the air.

All the pubs where I live are now empty souless places.

I perfectly understand you. But unfortunately when rules are laid down, they are laid down for everyone, its impossible to say "Right, this law applies to you because your a violant drunk and not to you because you drink sensibly." the Law is over everyone, when one boy in the classroom does wrong; the other boys suffer. Not neciserrily right but its the way it goes.

Rubbish. You punish the ones who are violent, cause damage or harm to others and that's it.
