Default Government Minister criticises card makers for not using words "Happy Christmas"

It is reported that Justice Secretary Jack Straw MP has criticised those makers of Christmas cards who - allegedly for politically correct reasons - replace the words "Happy Christmas" with the non-Christian term "Season's Greetings" in the text printed in the cards:

Ba humbug: Jack Straw lashes out at greetings cards for banishing 'Happy Christmas' | the Daily Mail

If this isn't an issue for market forces, then I don't know what is.

I'm sure Straw loves the PC **** they have forced on us for years but this dying government is desperate for popular policies. And don't get me on that **** Balls wanting adventure playgrounds built everywhere. Soon we'll have competetive sports days, boxing on the curriculum, fencing, pistol duelling, who knows where it will stop.

This is the same Straw who (as Labour Home Secretary) allegedly did nothing to warn that great friend of the British people, The Late General Pinochet, that he could be arrested if he tried to formally enter the UK when his aircraft landed at Heathrow. General Pinochet was arrested in London (during the first term of the Blair Labour regime) amid allegations of alleged human rights abuses in his home nation of Chile. He had to stay in the UK for over a year while legal matters were attended to.

General Pinochet - as the leader of Chile - helped the UK at the time of the 1982 Falklands 'dispute'.

Straw's Labour Party hated the General because (in the early 1970's) he removed communists from power in Chile as he feared the Marxists threatened the future security and democracy of his land.

Default Politically correct, Government, hypocrites, 'Christmas', pro-Labour 'think-tank'

I think you are right Brian. This is the most politically correct (PC) Government we have had. What hypocrites they now are in trying to give the impression that they (or at least one of their members - Straw) oppose the disappearance of the word 'Christmas' from cards.

It is only about three weeks since a pro-Labour 'think-tank' appeared to imply that (for PC reasons) Christmas celebrations should be reduced or got rid of.

I'm beginning to smell a GE in the air.
What better way to hope that we forget the damage that has been done to our culture and traditions other than to 'reinvent' them?

Happy Winterval Mr.Straw (Hypocrite-in-Chief)
