Default Gay Friendly Hotels.

Early next year I have to stay in a hotel, something I do not have to do very often.

Browsing the internet today I was quite suprised to see that many of the hotels in the area I have to stay in advertise as part of their services on offer that they are gay friendly.

For those of you who stay in hotels regularly and are not gay can I ask if these hotels are also hetrosexual freindly, are bisexuals, cancer sufferers and people with HIV not made welcome?

Is this an example of out of control PC or is Milton keynes where I have to go and stay actually Soddom resurected.

I've never seen that before - but it looks as if it might be something the hotels have done, which is fine by me. Their property, their rules.

This is probably a reaction to the recent news stories of Hotels not wanting gay guests, which should also be fine (property again). It is probably just a working of the market.

P.S. What do you mean by cancer sufferers not being made welcome?

I was being sarcastic because of the riddiclousness of the situation.

I think what you are saying is right actually. But it is not a matter of hotels not wanting gay guests, Christian Hotel owners are being told they must let them have a double room or they are breaking the law. In fact gay couples were being treated no diffrently to hetrosexual unmarried couples who were also being refused double rooms. Many of these hotel owners were perfectly prepared to offer two single rooms.

I would like to know why in the intrests of equality the Hotel does not advertise that it is hetrosexual Friendly.

Indeed, which is why I wasn't too impressed with those 'anti-discrimination' laws. Government should keep its nose out of how private businesses are operated - if they don't want you on their property, tough.

I think you will find that some time ago, a B and B establishment refused to accept openly gay visitors, and I believe after that it was made illegal to refuse visitors on the grounds of their sexuality. Same with colour, age etc. Perhaps they are just trying to take advantage of the situation.

Now police, hotels, fire service are desperate to meet P.C tick box targets and we are all expected to declare orientation for compliance purposes , its time to demand printed equality statement rights including % employment monitoring and targets and availablity of hotel rooms for mono sexuals, nono sexuals, those that prefer animals, and those that want to "out" as incest couples....... anything left out ?

Milton Keynes is Sodom reborn.

Actually I'm lucky, I've seen the alleged site of Sodom, on the shores of the Dead Sea, and I've seen Milton Keynes. I must admit that Sodom is considerably more attractive.

Happy, friendly hotels. Well, you wouldn't want a miserable one, would you? That'd mean you were in Germany.

I will therefore upon this information ask The OU to host its day schools in Sodom
