That's what they want you to demand. Actually it is nothing to do with the school and everything to do with the parents. So cut down on school and increase parent-child time. The state has no right to teach other people's children what to think. It has gone too far and should put it's own house in order to do with things like pop culture because most of it is just brainwashing. Irresponsible companies should get whacked for it.

I think school is a good place to teach kids what is truly bad for their health. Necking lots of alcohol is.

If parents choose to teach their kids at home, then that's fine by me too.

Don't be silly there are stacks of things for young people to do other than get fart arsed every night! Problem is the youth of to-day need to be "entertained" When I was a youth we had "Youth Clubs" and just about every village had a "Skiffle band" formed by local lads who all wanted to be "stars"! Of course things like youth clubs aren't "Cool enough" for today's young people!

What youth clubs? I could name you one in our local area - and it's run by the Church. The council closed all of theirs and the Church stepped in where the State failed to provide - and it's very popular youth club indeed.

I read somewhere that there was a direct link between violence whilst intoxicated and intelligence. That is, those who are more intelligent were actually less violent when drunk, furthermore, intelligent people I'm sure can often find better things to do than destroy what few brain cells they have...

There might be down there at that youth club on Perranporth Beach. Not so much up here in the industrial wastelands.

Have you seen the cost of rehearsal room time these days? And heck, you want an amplifier which will let you hear your guitar over the drummer you're talking a grand (that's for a cheap one). Then you need the large car to cart it around in (with associated costs like insurance, etc.). 'Tis ridiculous. And even then, you can't smoke in the rehearsal room these days either, so there's no chance of being even the slightest bit rock and roll.
You might as well stay home and hit the Jack.

What youth club on Perranporth beach? This is news to me, and I'm a resident. There's a surf club down there, if that's what you mean, but the only youth club is at the Methodist Church. There used to be one run by the Council in the park...but surprise surprise they sold it.
