Let's have a referendum on it. Let's see how many people think the same as NuLab.

Less than 1% I would wager.

First Halloween, now this?

The religious nutters cant get enough of destroying British culture can they?

Christmas only came back into fashion in the UK about 150-200 years ago. But it is here to stay.

Christmas should be 'downgraded' to help race relations says Labour think tank | the Daily Mail

Christmas should be downgraded in favour of festivals from other religions to improve race relations, says an explosive report.

Labour's favourite think-tank says that because it would be hard to "expunge" Christmas from the national calendar, 'even-handedness' means public organisations must start giving other religions equal footing.

The leaked findings of its investigation into identity, citizenship and community cohesion also propose:

• "Birth ceremonies", at which state and parents agree to "work in partnership" to bring up children

• Action to "ensure access" for ethnic minorities to "largely white" countryside

• An overhaul of Britain's "imperial" honours system

• Bishops being thrown out of the House of Lords

• An end to "sectarian" religious education

• Flying flags other than the Union Jack.

Very creepy, even if these proposals do not go ahead, it's still spine tingling that we have leading, influential 'think tanks' so closely connected to our government.

It smacks of Communism, and is much akin to the Soviet policies in Eastern Europe and Russia. The scariest thing is, these policies happened quickly and sharply in the Soviet Bloc, caused outrage and led to a quiet, simmering resentment against a visible oppressor, allowing the people to cast the shackles off. With Britain and Europe, it's a gradual, accepting change - a permanent revolution.

I will continue to celebrate Christmas in the way I have always celebrated it.

Church in the morning
Lunch at a Hotel
Return to my parents home 4-4.30pm
Nice cup of Tea
Open presents arround 5pm
Watch some TV (try to get a repeat showing of HMQ speach)
Light Buffett at arround 8pm
Home arround 10-30pm after a couple of whiskeys with the folks.

Anyone not liking it can stick it in their Winterville stocking and smoke it!

I tend to spend most of Christmas Day celebrating an almighty hangover from the night before's Christmas Eve clubbing (as in night clubbing, not clubbing heretics/seals/christians etc). Then start on the Buck's Fizz. Drunk again by 12.

It's always the same though isn't?

You can sum up the day's sequence of events in a sequence of words: Presents, Family, Champagne, Queen, Dinner, Trivial Pursuit, Grandparent(s) Asleep.
