I have just come back from what was, essentially, a day long recruiting session for highly paid non-jobs at the local council.

Instead of actually learning anything today, the entire 6th form was made to pretend to be councilors for a day and decide how best to **** £7,000,000 up the wall.

A new marina? Wonderful, £2,500,000 of council tax and we can charge people to use it.

Naturally, my suggestion of "Stay the **** out of it and let the free market do it" wasn't acceptable. Predictably, most "projects" were to do with stopping global warming.

But, my favourite quote was this:

There we go then, 500 more students turned into statist halfwits.

Easy. Sunseeker Manhattan 80, crate of Bolly RD, couple of Lamborghinis and a team of supermodels to lie around drinking said Bolly on said Sunseeker to make you look good. And then you could still afford the marina.
