The following are brief extracts from a letter by Anthony Martin of London, SE15, which was published in yesterday's Express:
"The Ambassador at the Court of Spain wrote in July 1588: (Quote) The Turks can do little, neither can the King of Scotland who is offended at Queen Elizabeth on account of the death of his Mother, Mary Stuart (End of quote). Philip of Spain signed truces twice throughout the 1580's to neutralise the Ottoman threat in the east. It was Drake's navy and the Dutch who blockaded the Duke of Parma's invasion force at Dunkirk that beat the Spanish Armada in 1588 - whatever the politically-correct brigade has to say." |

I hate it when people ome up with this crud. We had an Empire and we destroyed our enemy when they came to attack us yet people are trying to get us to change history so it is inclusive of other cultures. This sounds like Bliar's work.

This issue was featured in a Turkish newspaper in London ( seen in a kebab house whilst waiting for bacon butty) with a photo of Equalities Admiral Trevor Phillips. As only the odd word of Turkish is easy to translate, it could not be seen which side of the PC fence they jumped , though a seperate comment column in English came out against making headscarves legal in Turkish government offices so as to defend the secular Turkish state against Islamist take over.
