Remove New Labour from Office and repalce it with a government that cares about this country and its freedoms, that might ligthen the depression a little.

Put up a sign on the Bridge saying " EU law strictly prohibits suicide jumping from this bridge"!

Easy solution.

Fix a 12' high x1" mesh fence along it's length and make sure the mesh angles inwards by about 10 degrees.
If Citizen Desperate falls he can land only on the carriageway.
