Default Fantasy meets reality in Church row

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6738309.stm

Quote:
The Church says to base the Sony PlayStation 3 game Resistance: Fall of Man in a virtual cathedral - identical to Manchester Cathedral - is grossly insensitive.

It is not just the use of holy ground for the bloodthirsty game which has upset the clergy; it is the fact that Manchester has been so scarred by gun violence in recent years.

In fact, the cathedral has hosted memorial services for some of the victims. This is why the computer game has been branded "sick" by the Church.
Don't these whinging religous fruitbats have anything better to moan about? It's a friggin game, it's make believe you muppets.

You're killing alien invaders for God. What's so bad about that?

Sounds great! Does it get you extra brownie points for getting into heaven if you win?

Given the way the Anglican church is run I have a feeling that Jesus the Christ would be in the front with an AK47

The COE might speak with a little more authority had it not in the 1970s allowed Guildford Cathedral to be used as a backdrop to the film The Omen which dealt with the subject of the son of the horned beast.

I did hear that Sony has offered an apology as regards this matter.
