The Evolving Hate Crime Definition

One of the major concerns of conservatives when opposing hate crime legislation is that it is inherently subjective. We are relying on government employees - who often find themselves under political pressure - to make decisions about what crimes deserve extra punishment. Since most of our prosecutors are not mindreaders - we ask them to make educated decisions when evaluating new cases. The subjectivity inherent, as predicted, has led to the unspoken rule ‘white attacker + minority victim x political correctness = Hate Crime.

It’s a dangerous precendent to set that government will be assessing whether prejudice may have inspired the crime - beyond greed or sex. The door is flung open, and in comes shuffling those twin deviants corruption and cowardice - our courts sagging into irrelevance and outrages. On the wall there will be charts to aid that whore - prosecutorial speculation - railing that the opinions the defendant only prove he is not tolerant enough to protect him from the charges of racism, sexism, sexual orientation or offenses to creed or religion. We’ve instituted a political weapon whereupon the influential in our culture today can reach into the courtroom and deliver ideological retribution. How long before political opinions are graded for tolerance? How long until we are judged as whether we contribute to social progress or not?

Conservatives have been proven right again, only the latest being the Duke debacle. But we see opportunists diluting the hate crime definition once again, until its many victims have only vague similarities. Now it is a hate crime to offend someone. Not just attack. Murder. Rape. Deny. Now simply offending the sensibilities of a protected minority is enough to send the offender to jail for years. The case of 23-year-old Stanislav Shmulevich of Brooklyn, a Pace University student arrested on hate-crime charges for twice putting Korans in toilets on the campus, is the vehicle they’re using. We can all agree that Stanislav’s message was ignorant - but would we be here if it was bibles he had dunked? Political pressure on the university and the on the legal system have resulted in an attempt to redefine a hate crime until it means any public displeasure offending any sensibility. Driving the taxi that is tearing through our justice system is, once again - radical Muslim students. They must be laughing to themselves, using our laws to neuter opponents to their prophet’s demands.

Those of you with the stones to resist dhimmification - need to keep spreading the word about the primitive savagery of Wahhabist Islam. Groups like CAIR get up every morning with the sole intent of instituting Sharia in America. I get up everyday looking to stop them.
