My mother brought this article to my attention last night, people really are not thinking in this country.

A ban on jewelrery is what it says, a ban no exceptions to pander to people from other cultures, the BNP must sing for joy every time a story like this gets out.

Personally I dont need symbols, I beleive in God simple as that.

The Muslim Council of Britain’s education spokesman Tahir Alam said all faiths should be treated the same way. He added: “I support my Christian colleagues on this point.

“If these items are important to children and have religious significance for them, there should be no issue at all about that.”
well said.

Yes I agree, the fact is these riddiclous situations are seldom brought by about by people of other faiths complaining they come from politically correct people detimned to errase British Identity.

Of course as long as a Religion is not banned then people should be allowed to wear the symbols of their faith and no faith should have precedence over another. It's 37 years since I was in Croydon and it appeared to be a mainly white area then. Is it now predominately a Muslim area :?: If so then It's probably local Headteachers and councillors doing a bit of appeasing!
