Russell T Davies is the genius ( maybe slight exaggeration) behind the revival of Dr Who so more power to his elbow.
He was brilliant yesterday on Richard and Judyand clarly has an excellent sense of humour and an irrepressable personality. Also for Dr Who fans I hope you watched last night's Weakest Link Dr Who special when in the final round the blonde beat the black with the 2 most famous actors voted off in earlier rounds. |

Doctor Who is very...how should I say...'New Labour. Anyone could see that from today's episode. Come to think of it there were a lot of characters who were of an ethnic background (including the excellent new assisstant who is a good actress, but also an absolute dish!).
Anyway. What was I saying? It's all very well having a show that features people of ethnic backgrounds if its realistic but there a lot of weird aspects in some respects regarding the BBC. You never see a black 'bad guy' or negative character. Robin Hood (who carried, supported and read the Koran in the series) had quite a large number of ethnic minority characters for 13th Century England! Whilst EastEnders is hardly representative of the East End of London. I don't think people would be watching though if it was...! Oh well, always remember kids, if you don't like it, turn over, or switch it off! |

The Late John Pertwee was a great Doctor Who.
As was The Late Peter Cushing (who, it is sometimes forgotten, played the character in two very successful cinema films). |
