Default The Royal pasty that's unhealthier than a Big Mac

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-23387096-details/The%20Royal%20pasty%20that's%20unhealthier%20than% 20a%20Big%20Mac/article.do

Quote:
He's a tireless champion of organic farming and healthy eating.

So it was perhaps no surprise when Prince Charles launched an attack on the fast-food industry.

But when he went as far as suggesting that McDonald's should be banned, it seemed that the prince had bitten off far more than he could chew.

He immediately laid himself open to charges of hypocrisy after it was pointed out that the company's signature Big Mac contains fewer calories, fats and salt than some products in his own organic Duchy Originals food range.
Health fascist Charles, shows he is just like most envirofascists.

A total hypocrite.

The message is "Things in moderation" but in today's culture "Its I want it now and often" no matter what it is

Mind you Charlie is a walking advertisement for a republic

His anti Macdonald's stance for one, for many of the people in this country it's the only chance they get to have a hot meal.

This is because they've not had his advantages in education and upbringing.

On the other side Blair and Cameron are walking adverts for NOT having a republic.

We need to rethink how we are governed and how decisions are taken that effect all of us - these decisions make winners and losers in our society and I feel some in society take advantage of their privileged position.

Having said that his son(Harry) and brother(Andrew) joined the armed forces and served in battle and the other is going to.

I wonder why not many politicians children join up ?
If they did would we have more talk and less war?

BTW, can I just say Harry is my favorite royal?

He comes across as a normal teenager to me. That Nazi thing he did, was having a laugh and that's what Brits do.

He doesn't moan about the pressure he has.

He is mucking in in Iraq, doing what Bliar would never do.

I like him.

I was thinking about this last night.

You go on a road trip, MacD's is the best place to get some food before continuing your drive. It's fast, easy and does the job.

Charlie seems to be under the impression that the rest of us can get our butlers to whip up a five-course meal in the back of the Bentley. Or find an available restaurant quickly and easily - I'm willing to bet that no restaurant has ever said to him "sorry, but we're fully booked".

Charlie is a bit out of touch with reality. Wills and Harry seem OK though.

Have you seen the size of a Big Mac? It's about as big as a 5p piece. Scale it up to proper portion size, and I'd wager there'd be several thousand calories and a few pounds of fat in it. But still nothing identifiable as cooked cow.

I prefer KFC, anyway. Mmmm, bargain buckets.

I banned myself from Maccy D's. Not because of Super Size me or the health fascists, but because it is lazy and a waste of money.

I loved Big Macs though. They were definitely addictive, I had to go cold turkey (not Bernard "battery farm" Matthews).

Well, since I'm veggie, KFC is out for me (their veggie menu was down to corn-on-the-cob, last time I looked). And I haven't seen a Big Mac in years. Couple of large fries sarnied in the veggie melts does me fine.

(and MacD's is pretty much the only place where a travelling veggie can be assured of chips not done in animal fat).
