I agree that subtelties are often missed.
Ethnic groups are generally very broadly grouped.
Black is black despite the whole spectrum of physical and cultural differences between the different "black" races.
Khoikhoi and Bambuti, both black on the broad brush spectrum, are as different as chalk and cheese.
