Police in Manchester have been told not to arrest Muslims wanted on warrants at prayer times during Ramadan.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed it had asked detectives not to make planned arrests during those periods for reasons of religious sensitivity.

The muzzers are becoming more despised over the special treatments they seek out for themselves.

All these dogooders are certainly not helping them either. ops:

Perhaps the Manchester police will extend the same immunity to practising Christians during Christmas and Easter?

Default Don't arrest people at Ramadan prayer Manchester police told

From ITV 1 Teletext, page 313 (analogue), 21.10.2006 at 5.41 pm:

‘Ramadan Arrest Warning’

Police in Manchester have been told not to arrest Muslims wanted on warrants at prayer times during the holy month of Ramadan, it has been revealed.

An e-mail listing prayer times was sent to officers asking them not to make planned arrests during those periods for reasons of religious sensitivity.

Greater Manchester Police said there is no blanket ban on arrests, simply a request for sensitivity.

Britannist adds: Some people are going to ask if the police should now have a ban on arresting Christians on Christmas Day, at Easter or on one of the Holy Days of Obligation.

In balance:-

Quote:
An Islamic youth organisation has condemned as "lunacy" police advice not to execute arrest warrants against Muslims at prayer times during Ramadan.

But Mohammed Shafiq, from the Ramadhan Foundation, said: "It's stupid, lunacy, that police could even consider not arresting Muslims during Ramadan. Greater Manchester Police have a history of policing the Muslim community with great sensitivity and understanding. That this idea was even thought of is shocking.

"I don't know where they get these ideas from and I'm glad an officer was clearly angry enough to leak the memo.

"Police shouldn't hesitate to arrest any Muslims they had planned to during Ramadan. We must all be equal under the law.

"If people think Muslims are immune from the law, it will only stir up tensions within the community."

Stop winging and do something. UKIP Manchester should submit a formal complaint to the police.

This household has already made two complaints about this prober.

Tell us all what you've done apart from throwing in your UKIP towel that is.

A sore loser is a loser just the same as any other one.
