LMAO!

Yes, it is well known that speed cameras (and low speed limits on good highways generally, at least anything below the "true" 85th percentile as recommended by engineers) are a tool for raising revenue at the expense of public safety.

Just as it is well known that the EU is a dictatorship, much like the former USSR, China, Iran, North Korea, etc.

But is the Pope really Catholic? :P

I don't know why people ***** and moan about speed cameras generating revenue.
It's really simple.
No speeding = no revenue.

Unless you're as bad a driver as Maureen Rees, trying to stay under 30 MPH on an empty dual-carriageway built for 70 MPH whilst actually looking at something other than the speedo is damn near impossible.

Anyways. Speed limits are a form of communism (assumes everyone is equally in/competent at driving). Don't push your commie ideas on me, thanks.

Perhaps some people think the speeding laws in this country are a farce.

Not so. Just set the cruise control to 30 mph.........
And I'm rather too right wing to be considered a commie.

I think a lot of the laws in this country are a farce.
Failing to obey them isn't really the answer, is it?

When the majority of people are against a law and the government just plough ahead anyway, then yes, sometimes you have to take a stand.

Then take a stand. Lobby to change the law rather than ignore it.
