Shooting oneself in the foot appears to be the appropriate phrase for multiculturism.

In Liverpool, I am told..cannot confirm this - that if, as a council tenant, your ring the council to complain about bad neighbours, graffiti etc, you are asked your ethnicity first. Possibly one of the reasons why the BNP came second in a ward there in May (beating Lib dems, Tories, Greens and old liberals).

I knew the Tory who came bottom in that ward- he was a good friend of mine in uni though I haven't been in touch with him for nearly a year now- what I CAN tell you is that his dad is a member of UKIP and stood for us at the last election! Bet there's some fun arguments in his house!
