Default The Crazy Daisy

I just saw an advert for this sprinkler that works like a dancing flower that sprays the water around and at the end there was a caption saying...

Wait for it...

PLEASE USE WATER RESPONSIBLY

I heard an advertisement on the local radio here the other day patronisingly telling listeners to be careful in their use of water. The advertisement was paid for by Thames Water - who lose a third of their water through leaks (the highest amount in the country).

What a cheek. And they've just put up their charges again, too  :x .

While out doing leaflets today, it chucked it down.

It's been doing that for weeks now.

I think the problem is not a shortage of water/rain - its the water companies not having big enough lakes to store the water and the amount of water being lost in leaks.

It's a pity a group of Thames Water users can't get together and sue Thames Water for losing one third of its water in pipe leaks. I can't understand why the shareholders of Thames Water haven't kicked up a fuss about this sort of thing.

If I could change water supplier I would - but I'm informed its not possible.

And demand is going through the roof, due to our population boom.

Water is the new oil ...

To really control a country - control its water supply.

I'm still waiting to hear the EU is going to fund the final completion of the dam across the Euphraites river in Turkey ... thus controlling the water supply to the countries downstream.

What other reason can their be for hastening Turkey's membership of the EU?

There is no water shortage.

There is just as much water as there has always been.

So where is it?

In bleedin' bottles, that's where!

Even though water companies are legally bound to ensure tap water is fit to drink, people will insist upon buying water in bottles!

And why? Bleedin' advertising, that's why!
"This water tastes like a mountain stream" - yeah, right, do I want to drink water which tastes like mountain goats have been peeing in it?

Water is supposed to taste like water, not mountain streams or volcanic springs.

I tell ya, stop bottling water an' there'll be plenty to go round.
