Default Church told to use more PC words/phrases

My Priest informed us that words such as ye and thee should now not be used during the eucharist but substituted for soemthing more modern and pc.

Also the phrase 'giving him to be born as man' has been removed and replaced with 'giving him to be born from a women' completely subverting the meaning of that part of the service.

What a load of nonesense.

It will soon be incorrect to go to church lest it offend those who don't.

Oh trust me when I say people are being ridiculed for going now.

Yes you are quite right, it will get to the stage if a church is in a street where a lot of muslims have moved INTO phpbb_then we will told it must close as it might offend them.

Maybe we should start holding services on the streets instead?

I note from another part of this website that you are an Anglican. I am quite surprised to hear that the Anglican church is still using "ye" and "thee" - I thought that in the Church of England the King James Bible and the Book of Common Prayer had been replaced by modernised versions decades ago.

Also, in the title you gave to this thread, you say "church told -by whom?
.

The C of E Church I attend (infrequently enough to choose to to dodge the vicar ops: ) uses the BCP. Still plenty of pc people who attend anyway.

Our Church is nearly empty, the Vicar doesn't seem to like an audience

I am a Christian and I use modern English. Being PC and speaking English are not the same thing. I think changing this :-
'Also the phrase 'giving him to be born as man' '
Is stupid though.
