Quite, it would probably come under some new legislation.
All I have said is that I see no problem with this name change, as I would see no real problem with most name changes reverting back to their originals. I tend to like traditional old things. It seems the anti-PC brigade have lost their humour on this thread!

So because I have no problem with a name changing back to its original, on the basis that it has been named in connection with one of the most evil men in history, you are interpreting this as a resistance to naziism? Get real.
No SGK, there is a resistance and there is a "resistance".

The first is about the people whou fought against nazi Germany and died.
The second one iss about the people who are standing on the platform pointing at another people whilst crying "Naziiiii!!". They are paid for that even from my taxis. I'm not suggestint that you are one.

In Czech Republic almost all larger towns have had Adolf Hitler listed in as an "honorary citizen". Some of those cities have erased him from their lists claiming that this honorary citizenship is null and void but the majority of the cities have left him enlisted in claiming that this is a part of the history. And this is even though almost all Czech families have Nazism victims among their ancestors/family members.
And you believe this to be a good thing, do you? So the status of honorary citizen in any of these Czech cities is a bit meaningless, wouldn't you say?
I don't give a damn about that. Concerning your second question I tend to agree. Stalin is also honorary citizen in many of them. Maybe we should give some of those honorary citizenship to Tony and George, shouldn't we?

And guess what? Even the Union of Antinazi fighters is not protesting this.
Maybe the guilt industry and hypocritical leftist hystery is not so deeply rooted here yet.
Ah, it's not resistance to naziism, it's leftist hystery [sic] and guilt. Wow, you are a master psychologist.
It appears to me that it is safe and very well paid job for those who cannot offer anything else to the society. Moreover it is usually connected with some of other leftist obssesions like enforcing the mass immigration. So the impact is usual sinister and thus I usually have no time for those "Gutmenschen vom Beruf".

SGK I would love to have your problems ...
Instead of your pro-Nazi, racist problems, based on your feelings of insecurity and inadequacy? I bet you would.
Yes, some time ago you have revelead me as a "racist" and it was an act worth of inspector Cluseau. And yet being one of those horrible far right types doesn't mean that I'm pro-Nazi. It is a bit childish SGK ... you seems to be a bit overreacted

There's a Lennon Close in Basingstoke which invariably gets spelt 'Lenin' Close. I've have to value houses there in the past.

It's part of a vast area of Basingstoke (ugh!) which the powers-that-be decided to name after composers. Other areas are named after artists, scientists etc.

They started with 'Haydn Way', Beethoven Drive' etc. When they ran out of names they moved onto Lennon, McCartney, Starr and so forth.

A housing estate with streets named after great terrorists and murderers would get the joint jumping. They say all publicity is good publicity.

Precicely. I was pointing out how easy it is to do, how wrong it is to do it and how pointless it is, hopefully making you realise that your last, nasty little remark was out of place. Debate the points and answer the questions and leave the pscho-analysis and the 'branding' to the politically correct.

Good idea.

I suppose all BNP supporters will name their houses "Griffin is innocent" (which is true, before i get attacked!)

Should I rename my dog "War Criminal Blair" and take him for a walk round the houses of parliament?
