No, I don't believe you live in Nelson Mandela towers. Is there a young guy called damian next door?

Nope. It's an old terrorist than that!

There is also a pub named after him at the end of my street.

How bad does it have to be before you acknowledge change is a reasonable action? Gas Chamber Way? How about if people started naming roads and paths after Peter Sutcliffe or Myra Hindly? Would it be PC to change those back too? Notice - change them back, this isn't the original name of this path.
As one German conservative historician said (watching leftist activities): "The resistance to Nazism will be growing with the Nazism becoming more and more history".

In Czech Republic almost all larger towns have had Adolf Hitler listed in as an "honorary citizen". Some of those cities have erased him from their lists claiming that this honorary citizenship is null and void but the majority of the cities have left him enlisted in claiming that this is a part of the history. And this is even though almost all Czech families have Nazism victims among their ancestors/family members.

And guess what? Even the Union of Antinazi fighters is not protesting this.
Maybe the guilt industry and hypocritical leftist hystery is not so deeply rooted here yet.

SGK I would love to have your problems ...

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm, Christina?

Seems this 'Hitler Walk' business was a joke not a tribute to Hitler, so it all seems rather silly.

Strangely all this new fear about Nazis seems to have been generated in the last 20 years or so. Previously it was possible to have a laugh about it. I remember sitting listening to a comedian in a bar years back when some miserable looking guy walked in at the back. 'Who's that ugly sod?' the comic bellowed. 'He looks like Hitler after he got the gas bill.'

I'm sure he would be pilloried for saying that today.

Michael Collins? Robespierre? Maybe a train saboteur from Woking driven mad by daily commuting?

Wasn't the 'War of the Worlds' the only famous event ever to have happened in Woking? (and even that was fictional)

Nothing to do with you Mike, I could have used Jones or Johnson or any other common surname.

So because I have no problem with a name changing back to its original, on the basis that it has been named in connection with one of the most evil men in history, you are interpreting this as a resistance to naziism? Get real.

And you believe this to be a good thing, do you? So the status of honorary citizen in any of these Czech cities is a bit meaningless, wouldn't you say?

Ah, it's not resistance to naziism, it's leftist hystery [sic] and guilt. Wow, you are a master psychologist.

Instead of your pro-Nazi, racist problems, based on your feelings of insecurity and inadequacy? I bet you would.
