are you saying that your offened by the channel it was on more than the content of show

should the BBC only do shows that have no possibiltiy of offended anyone . most shows could offend someone in some shape or form

But you're still forced to pay for it. That's the problem. If it were on another channel which doesn't benefit from my being frog marched down to the TVL offices every year, it wouldn't have been a problem.

Christina - i dont understand the relevence of the picture

the question was

Quote:
what exactly does liking the jerry springer operera say about the person
but from what im gathering its the fact that a certain channel showed it and not another that is the main basis of complaint

the BBC shows programs that i would not watch, should i feel offened at all the programs i would not even consider watching

You're not religious, so you wouldn't understand.

So let's put it another way. If the BBC showed a programme about Scottish Lib Dems in the same way (without similar programmes about English Tories or Welsh Labour), would you be whining? I suspect that the answer is yes.

It's real simple: If I'm forced to pay for the BBC's output then I expect it to be fair and unbiased towards anything. So let's have JSTO 2 taking the mick out of mohammed. They wouldn't dare - they'd be bombed within a week.

i personally have been ofended by a program i chose not to watch it in fact i chose not to watch the television at all during that time as i didnt want the possibily of going to that channel even accidently

however i did not want the program banned as other people would have got something out of the program

And were you paying for the content of this channel?

So you weren't being forced to pay for it. Your example, therefore, cannot be used for comparison. It's the having to pay for it that folks are objecting to.

And, just for fun, I'll bet that you're on about that live autopsy on Channel 4 a few years back.
