Default Legal action over pushchair ban

Quote:
Legal action is to be taken against a school after a mother claimed its head teacher banned her pushchair on health and safety grounds.
Education authority officials say the woman alleges Monkfield Park Primary School, Cambourne, breached disability and human rights legislation.

The case is due to be heard at Cambridge County Court this month.

Cambridgeshire County Council said legal action had been taken against the school but would not further comment.

Council sources said the woman wanted to take a double buggy INTO phpbb_school because one of her children had special needs and could not walk.

Staff were concerned that the double buggy might block a corridor and allowing it INTO phpbb_the school could breach the school's health and safety policy.

A council spokesman said: "This matter is in the hands of our solicitors and it would be inappropriate to comment further."

The woman and school head Lynne Anderson were both unavailable for comment on Sunday.
Prat for thinking that the nightmare 'double buggies' could successfully negotiate a school corridor.
Prat for banning her on H&S grounds - surely a polite discussion would be enough, to come to an amicable solution.
Prat country for having disability and human rights legislation.
Prat country where people feel they can use such legislation for stupid things like this.

Put them both against the wall on a charge of 'being b****** stupid'.

This is just so moronic it isn't true.

How much more of this can the people take of this, or are we really the minority.

Be careful, with your "plain speaking, common sense stance"you may end up being accused of "expressing racism and xenophobia whilst decrying the politically correct attack on your freedom of speech"
