Only to expected but nevertheless depressing to finally read it.

The law exists in it's own right for the use of criminals and for fun and profit for lawyers, any idea that it is there to build a decent society is long since dead.

...and as a makeshift rosary upon which those who despise religion but who wish to display their supreme virtue can say their metaphorical Hail Mary's.

..... and next time a similar thing happens and everyone just turns their backs, we won't all be wringing our hands and asking "Why didn't somebody do something?" will we? We'll know.
    This is England and .....

Can't we have some sort of common sense with all this. If the person who was "assaulted" did have a ticket, then the big man should be charged. If not, then he should go free.

Hold your horses, where's the Muslim angle in all this?

Grow up Bwana and try and contribute something for once, rather than playing the fool the whole time. It's really boring now that you've been doing it for the best part of 2 years.

He was not in possession of a valid ticket for the journey he was on.

    No one disputes this.

Spot on, I'm a bit like big man, I do stand up/speak up, but I'm starting to ask why should I bother now.

Still, it's Frankfurt School at its best, breaking society and traditional values.

    Yes they do.

Also, the problem was caused by the Conductor refusing to move the Train.

Until the Conductor started being unprofessional there was no problem.

The Conductor stopped the Train, not the Young Man.

The Conductor refused to allow the Train to move, not the Young Man.

That is what inflamed the situation, not the Young Man.

Without the Conductor causing it, there would have been no problem.

One Man, allegedly having made a mistake, should not cause a Train to be delayed....

The Conductor was unproffesional, as his first job is the sefety of the Passengers on the Train, NOT revenue protection. He DIRECTLY put a Passenger in danger, and should suffer the consiquences. As should the thug who assaulted the Young Man.
