Nick Jones came in 5th place in the last general election, with I think Green ahead of him by 1000 votes or so.anyway back to subject do UKIP have a chance of doing well here
The blog link earlier had some speculation. I haven't heard anything else yet.
ukpollingreport.co.uk Leyton and WansteadWanstead is more suburban and middle-class, with attractive Edwardian housing set amongst open green spaces like Wanstead Flats. The two normally safe Conservative wards though are easily outvoted by safely Labour Leyton rendering this a safe Labour seat, though Harry Cohen saw his share of the vote drop by 12% at the last election, mostly to the benefit of the Liberal Democrats who took second place.
Well it would seem to be a safe Conservative seat but with mention of anger at the local Tory party, I guess that could make things closer between UKIP BNP and Tory
No idea where to find ward-by ward voting records for the area in the last general action.
