Firefly, as I stated in an earleir post CP have been operating under the radar for 18 years. The freedom of information act 2000 only came into force in feb 2005.
Do you realise how difficult it is sometimes to get info from local govt, police etc ?
Their is nothing stopping you from conducting your own research into CP. Let me know where you live via e-mail and I will let you know who is on Common Purpose's advsiory group near you..that's if they operate in your area.
Common Purpose are struggling at the moment in most areas of the country![]()
They are not hitting their targets in many areas eg - Milton Keynes, Plymouth.![]()
Two very senior and long standing advisory group members recently resigned.
I'll email you my location just so I can know who I am dealing with locally. Please don't get me wrong. I am only worried about WHO is going to listen. It is safe to say I am frightened of this.
Not sure. You tell any one your going to sound like a nut.
I noticed Ruth Turners name crouped up a fair bit who was at the center of the cash for honers scandal.
The problem is with an organization like this is the people involved aren't horrible they truly (for the most part any way) think they're helping the world.
It all goes back to marxism the idea of equality in the world is a great one but when you realize it was promoted by international bankers then you realize some thing is not right.
Cheers fotley and Eaofdune your obviously one step ahead.
As for Brian Gerrish fair play to the man. His video is now just under the CP web sight on google.
It proves the quote-
“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burk.
As somebody who has worked within Local and National Government for 20 years organisations like 'Common Purpose' provide you with a silly certificate to stick on your wall and the odd newsletter.
Do you really think they 'change' those who go on their courses - of course not. But if your boss says its a good idea you go along with it.
There are lots of other organisations out there bidding for a slice of the training budget of local and national government and their many quangos.
In 2005/6
True, but name me one other leadership training company that is able to e-mail Mathew Taylor (Blairs Ch Political Advisor) directly with prior approval ?
The e-mail posted earlier on here talks about a meeting inside Downing St
between Ruth Turner, Mathew Taylor and around 30 Common Purpose 20;20 graduates. 14th Nov 2006 14.15-15.30
The chap from Common Purpose asks Taylor and Turner -
"What I am after for the visit to No 10 is an insight into what is happening at the centr of govt.
To get on this course you dont simply apply. You have to be selected by CPs advisory group.
One of the people responsible for selecting the participants on CPs 20;20 course is Richard Hatfield - HR Director MOD
Hatfield put David Kelly on garden leave and gave evidence to the Hutton enquiry.
No I don't think they change you. I think they lift you out of your boring ole 9 to 5 job and give you connections. Those connections really help you out in life, new friends, better jobs, more opportunities, if you are a politician you get connected with people who can help you win etc. Trouble from what I see is that they say as a graduate your first loyalty is now to them. So if in your nice new job you are asked to do something you do it. What happens if you don't? Your friends go, your job, your connections and your money. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have no problems saying yes even if what they are asked to do is wrong, so long as they keep all the nice things they now have that make them feel good and successful. Maybe the rules they bend at first are small, and then the deeper you get in, the more you HAVE to bend them. What happens if you don't? They now have proof you have broken the law. Could all this happen? Yes! It has been happening in the crime world for a very long time. I would never have imagined it would happen on a scale so large as THIS though.
I do NOT know that this is how it works. I am guessing here from what I've seen. I am no one special just a mum with an interest in psychology.
