I hope Tom recovers. I don't wish illness on anyone, regardless of how they may have treated their position.
More on what I was saying about the internal 'investigation':
UKIP covered up embezzler’s trail - Times Online
THE UK Independence party deliberately covered up the fact that one of its MEPs embezzled tens of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money by pretending to be someone else.
An internal inquiry into the practices of Tom Wise, its MEP for the east of England, was silenced after the former senior policeman running it found evidence of serious wrongdoing.I note that most of the NEC members who, wrongly, voted to stop the investigation are still on the NEC and most of those who voted for to continue it, rightly, have since resigned from the party.Last week, Wise, who is now being investigated by Olaf, the EU’s antifraud office, had the whip removed by his party after he admitted he had used £6,500 of the money to buy a car... The green Peugeot 406, which Wise still drives, was bought in January 2005. He is refusing to tell party chiefs how he spent another £13,000 of the embezzled money.

Seconded. We had a shouting match at a speech he was giving on AGW, afterwards we had a great chuckle in the bar over the matter. I found him very good [pub] company.
If Douglas Denny hadn`t blocked attempts to have a proper inquiry into this matter by the disciplinary committee at an early stage and if the NEC hadn`t stopped the NEC inquiry into TW then we would not be looking for an appropriate moment for TW to walk away from politics .It is because UKIP deliberately missed its chance to get closure on this topic that we are in this position .
I wouldn`t be at all surprised to find that TW agrees with my sentiments about leaving .Luckily for his health it looks as if the reports exaggerated the
perilous state of his health. For his sake I am pleased ,but some formula should be found whereby he returns to his previous obscurity for the sake of UKIP.
Judging by the 0% in a recent opinion poll we in UKIP will be in collective obscurity long before the MEPs lose their seats.

Rubbish as usual from the ex- Criminal Protection Service lawyer.
Since when has a disciplinary committee ever been convened with no substantive documentary evidence?
And why are you kicking Tom Wise? - is it another effort to bring it to the forefront like your friend Greg Watkins constantly tries to do? Did Greg Watkins put you up to this? It has his fingerprints all over it.
