UKIP's London Mayoral candidate slams outsourcing of Olympics printing to US

Lawrence Webb, UKIP's London Mayor candidate, slammed the decision to outsource the printing, branding it "a kick in the guts to British firms".

He said: "We were sold the idea of the London Olympics on the basis that it would benefit the British and London economy but this latest development is just another empty promise.

"This is a kick in the guts to British firms who would have been desperate to secure such a lucrative contract but it looks like they did not even get the opportunity to bid.

"There seems to be a track record in this country of not putting British businesses first, we have seen it with Bombardier in Derby and now we are seeing it with the London Olympics where an American company gets the contract to print tickets.

    "It is a disgrace."

As Nigel has no strategy, tactics or plan his EUKIP might as well whistle in the wind as expect to get anywhere in the London Elections.
The 2 UKIP members with ex UKIP Deputy Chairman Damian Hockney and Peter Hulme-Cross defected with Kilroy-Silk to form Veritas Party.Damian was the Deputy Leader of Veritas but the party flopped during the 2007 General Election which did much damage to UKIP.Damian resigned as Deputy Leader of Veritas and renamed the London Assemvly Veritas-UKIP but UKIP took legal action aganst them. They were called One London Party and both of them lost their seat in the 2008 London Assembly Election to the BNP.

Default UKIP polling 3rd in London

UKIPers should be jubilant and LibDems extremely jittery in equal measures tonight - this YouGov poll shows UKIP in third place in London with 7%, while Nick Clegg's party are duking it out with the Green Party for fourth.

Of course Michael Heaver is making the same mistake as KrisH and treating regional sub samples as valid polling numbers.
