Nobody forces smokers to go outside for a fag. They choose to do so.

It does make me chuckle in the depths of winter when I drive past my local pub and see a group of idiots risking frost bite just so they can shorten their lives.

Two ways would be great. Smoking and non smoking pubs. Simple. Isn't choice great.

You could go to your popular non smoking pub (if you could get to the bar because obviously it would be packed out) and i can go to the pubs where the landlord allows smoking (if these pubs would survive because nobody wants to go into smoking allowed pubs).

Now you are going to want to restrict people from working in 'smoking pubs' aren't you?

It's great isn't it? All these none-smokers can now go for a quite pint without the horror of sniffing a ciggie; while they destroy their livers. Except of course most pubs were only just hanging on and the loss of the smokers has stamped on their fingers. So now smokers and none smokers are free to stay at home watching Coronation Street, like good little citizens.

I don't really care either way if my local, or any other pub closes because I don't go to pubs. But having been subjected to the arrogance and selfishness of smokers over the years, I can't get too upset for their plight now that the boot appears to be on the other foot.

I merely state my opinion on this issue.

I am NOW a non smoker with cancer - I used not to have cancer and smoked!

I smoked Cigars from about 1969 until 2001 (I was hoping for a better class of lung cancer ;-o

I used to 'quite' enjoy going with friends some who smoked and some who did not to pubs and restaurants.

I was aware that there was virtually no danger of medical damage from other people smoking dishonestly and pejoratively portrayed as 'passively smoking'.

I have only visited pubs when it is the choice of others since the smoking ban and I do not enjoy the experience since I find it singularly ill mannered that I sit in the warm whilst friends, particularly lady friends, are forced out into the cold to enjoy a cigarette. The purpose of the evening is the pleasure of my friends and I resent the excessive interference with the choice of my friends by an interferring and fascist style of Governance. I do not pay my Government taxes to empower Police Murders, obscene interferrence with freedoms and choice.

I just MIGHT have more sympathy with overbearing Government if it was 'experimenting' to improve rather than imposing to enforce.

If Government had shown one wit of competence and intelligence in their primary job I just might have SOME tollerance of their mistakes in the field of micro management!

My Government and seemingly the main Governments of the world have shown themselves to be utterly and totally incompetent in every area and field I believe I have a right to expect competence in view of their costs.

My Government is headed by a total economic illiterate who has all but single handedly engulfed my Country in a credit and currency crash incurring debt for my Country at the rate of £9,111 per second over 11 years of financial Kontrol.

My Government has beyond all doubt lied to me and the world embroilling our Country in wars that have resulted in the obscene war crimes and crimes agaiinst humanity that include 2 wars and the massacre of somewhere near ONE MILLION Iraqui citizens based on MY Government's lies.

My Government is beyond all shadow of doubt telling me, my Country and the world in collusion with other liars lies about global warming and lies about climate change.

My government is telling lies due to an incompetence to commission, build and supply power stations required to power my country.

Need I continue - My Government on every major issue I employ them to Govern are liars.

I do not believe having totally failed in their primary job have any right to micro manage the lives of my fellow citizens.

I believe that a public house has a responsibility to conveniently outside their premises and in all advertising as to whether they are a Smoking, Non Smoking or Mixed or Segregated establishment.

The Publican in HIS pub should have the right to offer the service he wishes across the industry, be that hospitality, travel and entertainment the constituent parts ie a pub, hotel or theatre should have the fundamental choice as to whether they wish to attract the smoker, the non smoker or those who value the choice in one establishment.

To micro manage in a fascist way on the part of a Government which has proved beyond ANY doubt or reason to be dishonest AND utterly incompetent is an obscenity.

It is the choice of the service provider what service they provide and the customer may choose what service they wish to access.

I no longer go to pubs if I can avoid it - they have sold out MY chopice by supplicancy to a corrupt, dishonest and corrupt - utterly incompetent Government.
