Default UKIP could gain a massive boost

Gordon's Days Numbered

Gordon's Days Numbered

Poor Gordon Brown is coming under immense pressure these days. After losing By-Election after By-Election, it looks like he'd struggle to win a one ticket raffle.

Is Gordon Brown's number up at number 10 Downing street?

Bookies Paddy Power have Labour at 11/4 to win the next general election. The Conservatives are sitting pretty at 2/9 and the Liberal Democrats are an unlikely 100/1.

Votes Going Up In Smoke

Gordon could always overturn the massively unpopular Smoking Ban and instantly gain millions of votes but then again, when did politics ever reflect popular opinion?

UKIP (UK Independence Party) could gain a massive boost from smokers in the next General Election as they are the only main political party to have stated in their manifesto that they intend to repeal the smoking ban.

UKIP are currently a 1000/1 outsider with William Hill to win the next General Election but these odds could tumble as more smokers and annoyed pub-regulars learn of UKIP's manifesto pledge.

Gordon Gone, Who Next?

Paddy Power are so confident that Gordon brown is on his way out that they are already taking bets on who will be his replacement. David Miliband head the betting at 2/1 with Harriet Harman offered at odds of 10/3. Tony Blair can be staked at a whopping 250/1.

Bet now at Paddy Power

Most smokers have simply given up any hope that they will ever be allowed to smoke in pubs again. We may gain a little bit of support but the vast majority will continue to vote for Labour or the Conservatives regardless.

Funny that when critical posts appear someone starts posting UKIP spin from the website in an apparent attempt to knock the bad news off the first page!

Not really. You're posting negative stuff, someone wants to post positive stuff. Live and let live.

But dont they (and the public) realise Milliband was responsible for the 2005? labour manifesto document - which he then went and signed away. Can anyone trust a politician called Milliband?

Hes also directly responsible for the LT surely a mill-stone around mill-i-band........

Sadly they are more likely to stay at home. It will take a lot to get the smokers out in force.

Of course a truly libertarian party would lift the ban on handguns, allow hunting with dogs, legalise prostitution and ease the smoking ban.

Aardvark: Legalising prostitution wouldn't please everyone. Forcing prostitution underground is good news for the miners, even if it's bad news for the man in the street.

Allow hunting with dogs, legalise prostitution but only ease the smoking ban sounds like anti smoking bias to me

If we are anything,we are democratic,if we are democratic,we will have a vote on the smoking ban, surely.

If we dont want to allow a vote on the smoking ban, then we are fascists, just like those who implimented a ban on smoking in public places were fascists.
