One hopes the Irish will vote consistently every time (vote no). That is the way to treat the EU commission in this regard!

BTW, if there is a referendum on an EU treaty somewhere and the result is ever a Yes vote (first time), does this idea about voting again apply then? I would expect so, and any atttempt to deny further voting opportunities after a Yes result would be against human rights I would suggest.

Actually, it might be acceptable to have a never ending series of referendums - unless and until there is a 100% result achieved - as to do so would have the beneficial byproduct of delaying any ratification for an eternity , whilst not denying the Yes campaigners another chance - something we would all be very pleased to achieve!
