One is driven to the conclusion that it order to get MA on board as a squeeky -clean image
Treasurer to stop the endless barage of criticism re the accounts she had to be offered first ,payment for her labours and then a good chance of obtaining the post of MEP.
A post which she has been assiduously trying to obtain from a wide cross -section of parties in the past .

A case of tit for tat perhaps but definately a case of "needs must" for UKIP if it has to offer so much to her.

Whilst her politics may be rather dubious, it is surely undeniable that she is a very clever and well-qualified person. If all she does is religiously highlight the waste and lack of transparency, then that will undoubtedly make a fairly strong impression and greater impact than most - becuase of who she is, she is more likely to get coverage in the national press than others.

Default Marta's European dream

Quote from SomersetYokel:
Ms Andreassen is on record as not wanting to leave the EU but to reform it.

The date is significant because Marta's stance changed when she discovered the facts about the EU.
6 December 2004

"Good men and women have lost faith in Europe. I have been called a Eurosceptic, but I am not one. I want to fight for a good EU project. To do that we must fight for transparency, for responsibility, for accountability. But my dismissal shows that there is a culture ready to persecute those who want to bring clarity. The officials who recommended dismissing and prosecuting me are the same ones who have been managing the funds entrusted to the EU without control for years. We need real reform of the EU; but the new constitution will do nothing to combat the Brussels culture of graft, secrecy and corruption that so tarnishes the European dream"

Surely it is no surprise that she supported the aims of the EU when working for them or seeking to get her job back. Is she not entitled to revise her view of the EU in the light of experience?

Yes she is. But surely we can question the motive for her sudden change of heart, and worry that once elected she may again revise her view to be a reformist and once again fight for a good EU project.

I have no doubt at all that Marta wants to see reforms. What I do have doubts about is her desire for the UK, a nation to which she has no emotional, psychological or biological links, to withdraw from the EU.
I agree with this. What she (and possibly others) have not grasped is that the EU is BEYOND reform. It is just not going to happen - in short, reform is an impossibility for the EU. The only way forward is (a) withdrawal or (b) full integration into the United States of Europe.

We all know what way the EU wants to go, and we also know they will not listen to dissenting voices. Therefore, anyone who suggests that it can be reformed is talking nonsense.

This is our strongest message - reform is NEVER an option - particularly against conservatives who somehow think they can reform things (how stupid can they be?). It is clearly not an option.
There is a third way, of course, which I'll call (c). And is probably the most likely outcome for Europe - bearing in mind the way democracy is being silenced at present by most (if not all) prime ministers/ presidents of nation states - all out revolution by the people (mass revolution) (ie civil war on a scale the Balkans could only dream about). It might take a few years, but human nature makes this almost inevitable unless the elite are defeated through democracy.

Honestly, we can pretend to make changes through democracy, but unless people play fairly in this regard, the only way things will change is through civil war. Certainly the way Lisbon Treaty has been handled suggests war is the only outcome of any certainty to be popular with the people of europe. (People will not stay silent for ever - they will eventually fight - its human nature - and nothing politicians say or do can ever change that FACT - in fact politicians trying to stop revolution is just going to encourage it all the more).

Well the party no longer receives any financial support from America due to legal reasons. As far as I am aware there isn't any official link with anyone in America now, although Nick has spoke in America he has always been at odds with their views that the Jews are the enemy and the Muslims are our allies. American Nationalists seem to be mainly cranks obsessed with Jews who want to take over the world. Such people you will find always attacking the BNP and Nick Griffin.

When did I say that? I am saying Jews don't want to take over the world. American Nationalists seem to see Jews as the enemy rather than the Muslims is what I was saying.
