Jeff: I doubt if any member will replace Dr Eric Edmond. They will decide that they haven't dismissed him at all, but merely suspended him. Then there will be a long tortuous prodedure to examine 'the facts', which will be further examined at a later date.

A democratic NEC co-exits uncomfortably with a managerial need to keep everything concealed. This is the fundamental weakness in UKIP's affairs. If, for example, there is a case for re-running an election, that should be decided on the evidence. If other considerations hold-sway, the good person who suggested the election re-run could find himself down the Job Centre. Keep that example in mind in the coming days.

Richard Allen: I give great importance to evidence. What accusation have I made which I have been but been unable to support with evidence? In certain matters, bank statement numbers for example, I certainly cannot cite them on the forum. Should a document already be in the public domain, I have no fear of naming it. Financial irregularities and election mismanagement has cursed this party for years, and could be the aggregate reasons for our failure and demise. Explain to me how can we successfully co-exist with those defects?

In an effort to resurrect the question on John West and his rightful position on the NEC,
Jeff asked the following question,"So,who is next in line on the NEC list to replace Dr Eric Edmond"?

A perfectly reasonable question one would of thought,but obviously,Geoffrey Collier,bless him,deemed it necessary to make the statement below.

Why should this make perfect sense to everyone but me Geoffrey Collier,would you care to explain?

If they suspend him, then they don't have to replace him with John West - merely find an "elected rep" replacement for John Whittaker...

I'm 67 Geoffrey,how old does one have to be to understand irony when it's coded in such a way as that?

Jeff: Congratulations on being 67. I can give you a year or two, but that is only marginal.
Keep running around the block, plenty of vitamin C. and always give the dog a Bob Martins in this weather. I was told that I am so subtle that I could peel an orange in my pocket. Just hitting the right level is not always easy Jeff. I may decide to call it a day and move to warmer climes. Having failed as an idle white, I could end my days as a white idol. Now that really is social mobility, and personifies everything that is good in UKIP.
