Could this be to do with UKIP setting up its own password protected, members only forum where everyone can sing happy songs all day long and ignore genuine and well-founded criticism? Sorry to see some of you go. I am certain that there has been a directive, but would need to wait until I see something in writing.
Control of dissent is very much a fascist or communist response. It would be absurd if all those who have left have moved to a Tory or LibDem forum and likewise it would be ridiculous if so many aspiring politicians had given up online debate for good. I hopr the new UKIP forum has lively and informed debate and isn't spoilt by the political and linguistic illiteracy of so many of those who have recently departed. The conference does seem to have given UKIP a fillip, as it ought, but I would be interested to know how long that will last. The key thing is to get electoral success, something that has been lacking for most of the year in most places, with only one or 2 exceptions. Electoral success comes with united branches working hard to support each other and appealing to the public. UKIP has a number of those, but not evenly spread across the country. There are still a hard core of Bilderberger obsessives cluttering up the party and there are still people who will worry about imagined treason or Common Purpose or NWO or the latest conspiracy fad. Until every last person who rabbits on about treason or Bilderbergers is expunged from the party there will be failures aplenty.

We have been through all of this before. The problem isn't negative posters, it is the lack of positive UKIP news to talk about. The forum is always more positive when there is good news to talk about, but that has been few and far between lately.

I've posted on this forum once, and that was only to track down a ticket which I was able to buy at the conference anyway. Apart from that I've been one of those who comes on this forum and reads. And why?
Never positive, always hyper-critical. This is politics, which means agreement on most things is rare. But the endless and needless actions of the majority on this forum is nothing but destructive to UKIP. Harry, John and others are right. There's a better future for those of us who are members and work tirelessly for the party - and it's not on this forum. I'm off too. And no, there has been no directive or policy from the party. What a silly, silly suggestion. |

The endless and needless criticism on this forum isn't helpful, it's destructive. For current members of the party who work tirelessly for many hours to achieve results, this forum doesn't offer positivity or encouragement. It dampens enthusiasm, and for that reason, I'm out. And no, there has been no directive or policy from the party. What a silly, silly suggestion. |

All those who have suddenly decided to stop posting must forgive the rest of us for harbouring the idea that any sort of edict has gone out wherby those who continue to use the Forum will be ignored for promotion within UKIP.What a silly silly suggestion .
We must also be forgiven for thinking that the recent views posted here on the deeply shocking behaviour of unknown Ukkippers calling Miss Fuller foul names thereby leaving her traumatised and unable to continue her worthy labours in UKIP`s Press Room have any bearing whatsoever on their leaving . Farewell and adieu . |
