I too am leaving this ridiculous forum of a boo boys and jealous armchair politicians, I am a full supporter of Nigel's leadership and having spoken to him at length, he is keen to break with the past and reform the party with more dynamic and articulate leadership. Those of you who still support UKIP and regularly post on this forum, I implore you all to leave this forum as soon as possible. Let all doubts of UKIP be banished from our minds and go forward with a heavy heart to the 2009 elections. UKIP turned a corner at Party Conference, and the future is bright.

The hypocrites on this forum who constantly slag of Farage and UKIP, did not attend Conference as far as I was aware. Yet you continue to be negative. What humbug - what idiocy, I agree with Nuttall's comments - 'Either get on board or GET OUT!'

UKIP does not want losers - and negative people, the party has put up with it for too long, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I bid you all Goodbye.

I will stay in contact with many of you friends, (you know who you are), I've made on this forum and I implore you to follow Harry Aldridge and Steve Fowlers' lead and turn towards positive things.

John.

I might as well use the opportunity to stop going on this forum as well actually. It's full of people who don't have any semblance of reality in much of what they say and any debate is often of a misinformed, vindictive nature. Bye.

Thanks to Toby for his conference report.

However, it would appear the edict has been put out. If you are serious about wanting a future with UKIP as it exists at the moment, the advice appears to be that you will only get one if you avoid this forum.

So be it.

Best wishes to all who see their future with the version of UKIP delineated by this year's conference announcements. It would have been interesting to debate with you in the run up to the 2009 elections and beyond. It may have given some of you practice at dealing with harder questions at your local hustings. No doubt those few UKIPpers who stay and post on this forum will find their internal advancement options further limited as time goes on.

It seems you cannot support UKIP and tolerate an alternate viewpoint. What a shame.

We will carry on reporting the good and bad about UKIP, regardless of whether UKIP members choose to post here or not.

For anyone in doubt, here are the stats for the site: eXTReMe Tracking - Science - Politics

The average is 1124 unique users per day.

That includes the large number of lurkers and plenty of guests who just stumble across threads on Google and so on. If you wish to abandon the forum to the more negative posters, that is up to you, but this is the primary (only?) source of information about what is really happening in UKIP.

Default Grown Up and Out Grown

I have returned for this one post. The conference has shown the real workers in the party that UKIP is the only game in town if we want to regain our Independence from Europe, it has also shown the membership that the **** posted against the party is just that. The drip feed by those within will soon stop.

GLW will be devoid of any malice to post because those doing so will soon be exposed and one would suspect will take solace in posting here. I do strangely believe that Anthony may well have good intentions but as far as UKIP is concerned BDF will, if it ever did, matter no more.

And for the record nobody told any member to resign. We all have brains and made our own decisions.

If the NEC stop leaking, and the party get its act together on administration and websites, (amongst other things), Bob, then I might consider rejoining at some point!

Weeding out the negative people and the whingers is Nigel's recurring refrain at every conference. The problem is that by the next conference some of the more enlightened hero-worshippers have seen the light and Nigel has to againn deliver the same speech -it is just that the critics and the whingers this time were the previous year's eager beavers.
