Default The leader is not the real issue. It's UKIP's policies

The issue for me (and I might add for a great many others) is not so much who the leader is but what the party really stands for and wants to achieve and change.

It has never been really clear about its policies on any issue other than Europe.

It doesn't actively campaign on other issues, and a small elite group cobble together, a few weeks befeore each General Election, a lengthy election manifesto which nobody reads.

The UKIP website has always clearly revealed that UKIP is only interested in coming out of the European Union, nothing more, nothing less.

Now even that is doubtful given Nigel Farage's equivocal statements about Britain's relationship with the E.U. at this weekend's conference

I think that it rather depends on who went with him and who took over .
The MEPs have taken the party over ,instead of being a useful part of it they have dominated it to such a degree that the active party base has been ignored and overidden which has damaged morale .

I suspect that UKIP will now descend into bloodletting .

If Nigel steps down, I just hope for UKIP sake it doesn't happen, but then I would wouldn't I ! I suppose the best scenario for this 'lechlade 'forum, would be a Lechlade cabinet headed by that Welsh wizard Ski'. UKIP might not be a very big party now, but it would be considerably smaller if all your dreams came true!

Yes it would be essential that the leader was not an MEP, or any of the usual suspects, and the centre of gravity of the party was in the UK with domestic politics in the forefront.

UKIP doesn't get a very big media coverage now, but without the MEPs to front the party we'd get virtually none!

I don't know you Jeff: but it is absolutely clear you are totally ignorant of knowing me. I am my own man. Always have been. Always will be.
Your remark is juvenile.
