The planters of this story clearly hoped that `the faithful `would respond by backing the supposedly beleagered management team as Chikrodah has pointed out .
If only the press team which managed to pull this one off spent more time getting the papers to carry something of general use to the effort to rid ourselves of the EU ,UKIP might be doing better than it is at present .This article simply manages to drag UKIP`s public image further into the gutter so whilst the short term aim of fortifying the leadership may have been assisted UKIP`s long term aim has not .

Chikrodah -who on earth has come up with the projected expenditure assessment ?

Petrina, that projected expenditure is mentioned here: UKIP conference to bring £400,000 to Bournemouth

Rumours? plotting? agent provocateurs?

quote from article:-

"If Ukip implodes, the BNP looks like the chief beneficiary, and Nick Griffin could be a step closer to achieving his biggest goal yet: to claim a monopoly on anti-European as well as anti-immigration feeling and one day emerge as Britain's fourth largest party".

Ahhh! So that's why GLW and his acolytes keep up with their anti-UKIP tirade all the time is it? I wondered who he was likely to be supporting.

DED.

Loosely translated, that quote means "We think UKIP are the BNP in blazers"...

it seems to have occurred to no-one that everything in the article comes from this forum or newspaper archives, there's little if anything new in it. But of course, that's why it's posted here in the first place: to damage the party. So, those responsible can pat themselves on the back for a job well done: nonsense stories, most posted anonymously, recycled into a hatchet job during conference.

"Whatever the truth behind the infighting at the heart of the far-right and anti-European strand of politics, the stakes are high. If Ukip implodes, the BNP looks like the chief beneficiary, and Nick Griffin could be a step closer to achieving his biggest goal yet: to claim a monopoly on anti-European as well as anti-immigration feeling and one day emerge as Britain's fourth largest party".

James Whale did seem to be brought in as an attempt to garner support for Farage.
