MikeUK: It was GEORGE Cartwright who stood in Dudley North for the National Front, in 1997.
If this is who you have mistaken for Gary Cartwright, who was my branch secretary in Southwark, then boy-oh-boy had you better retract and appologise fast! ![]() British National Front election results - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Quote:

I can soon check my information but as I understand Gary Cartwright stood for the National Democrats (ex NF) in London. Can't find anything on Google. My mate has access to more sophisticated software. We can soon sort this out, though, and yes of course I'll apologise if I am wrong. I don't want a writ do I? That would be like getting some of my own medicine. Cooeee Gary. Where are you? ![]() |

My friend has acess to the files of 'The Flag' edited by Ian Anderson, former Chair of the NF and a current member of the London Swinton Circle
A Gary Cartwright stood as a National Democrat for Southwark Lonfon Borough Council in May 1998. The National Democrats are/were the legitimate successors to the original National Front, which was founded by the late John Tyndall in 1967. The Gary Cartwright we know and love has problems. He is persona non grata with UKIP, but remains an EU civil servant. He will be unemployed this time next year aand his kids go to the Brit school in Brussels at public expense. He is probably a very worried man. If I remember rightly, when you join UKIP you are required to declare that you have never been a member of an extremist party. The NDs would certainly come into that category. I wonder whether our Gary made that declaration? Tip for you Gary. If you are at Bournemouth this Friday I would make a clean breast of things to NF (no not that NF!!) before I track him down. Otherwise your ears will be burning. ![]() |

I'm not sure about that. We chatted about his time in Brussels at conference last year. I thought his kids never attended the British school out in Brussels. They both attend English speaking private schools at his personal (and probably quite considerable) expense.

Can I ask a very serious question about all this. Why is it that those who cry foul pn this forum, allowing letters, emails etc to be published by third parties, then say they have been advised not to personally comment on responses to said same posts, and given that shouldn't the site have a policy of not allowing such third party posts.
If they did then I would willing not respond to GLW's garbage. |
