Default An old chestnut revisited.

On another thread recently it was suggested I should leave UKIP and join a Pressure Group(PG). This line of attack misses the point and is completely fatuous.

The beauty of UKIP is that it can be both a Party and a PG. Clearly a PG doesn't stand in elections and therefore misses out on one key weapon in its armoury.

UKIP should be doing two things:-
1.Providing pressure especially by contesting well targeted Westminster seats.
2.Educating the British public to build on the 65% plus who say they want out of the EU.

The best chance UKIP has of achieving its aim of leaving the EU is if in the short term it concentrates more on pressurising our Westminster MPs as well as stepping up a coordinated plan of educating the public as to just how corrupt the EU is and how we would be 'Better off out'.

I'm disappointed this thread so far has nil contributions as with an election coming up it is very relevant. Perhaps I can get your key boards working by including the question - "Is there any truth in the rumour that UKIP is trying to do a deal with the Conservatives to NOT stand in various seats in return for a clear run in 3 seats for N.F,D.CB and B.S?

I'll take the bait.

I have no knowledge concerning your rumour. If it happened to be true, which I very, very much doubt, then I trust you would be fully in favour considering your point 1 about contesting targeted seats.

Regards.

Nobody replies to your posts because you are viewed as nothing but a s**t stirrer who does nothing constructive for the party. The rumour in your post is, I'm sure, just the fruit of your fertile imagination.

We have seen your like come and go over the years. The only problem with you is that you don't seem to want to go.

Now, do us a favour old chap and go and bother someone else.

Sorry old chap no can do. I'm sticking around for a bit longer yet.

As to the question above yes I'd definately be in favour as it has a chance to actually produce a result.
