A great deal of debate takes place on this forum about who should or should not be standing in South West/South East, etc.
Surely some prospective MEP is interested in standing in Northern Ireland. Is there a reason why UKIP are choosing not to field candidates in this part of the United Kingdom? Should some enterprising individual offer himself as a candidate, will UKIP endorse his candidature? |

Three seats, with DUP, UUP and Sinn Fein (yuck!) odds on to take one each. In the rather cruel calculations that have to take place about how to apportion what money there is, I rather assume that (I have no inside knowledge here, this is speculation) as winning a seat is vanishingly unlikely, better to concentrate elsewhere. Lib Dems, Tories and Labour make very much the same calculation of course.
