Hello Scotland - Any Scots on the forum?
Can anyone tell me who the EU candidates were in the Scottish Region? How many hustings there were & which candidates attended which hustings? Just as a matter if interest, do we have any members in Scotland? Wish Scotsgirl was still here ![]() |

Do we know of any other internal elections in UKIP in which prepaid envelopes were used for the return of ballots. It would be interesting to see whether there is in fact a measurable effect. I note that the MEP ballots were not sent out with prepaid envelopes. It will be interesting to see what the return is.

nowayjose - which was exactly what i suggested in the beginning
![]() I know that a member at one of the hustings offered to pay for our region to be minitored by the ERSS, so as far as Wales was concerned it would have cost UKIP nothing - but NO, all counting to be at HQ. Rather amateurish, don't you agree?? |

We in Wales have just received the postal ballots for the regional list selections for the EU elections.
May I be allowed to quote one of the rules re this election: "Candidates may apply to two regions, but this must be disclosed to both regional panels (and to members in the regions if any candidates make it to more than one shortlist)." http://www.ukip.org/ukip/images/stor...tion_rules.pdf There in NO mention of Paul Wiffen also standing in Scotland as well as Wales on the ballot papers, or in his personal address. This is grossly unfair to the other 5 candidates standing, as well as a breach of UKIP's own rules. ![]() I believe that the same error has been made in the London & SE region re: a candidate standing in both regions. All that was needed was a two line sentence stating that " Candidate X was also seeking selection in region Y", stapled/added to each ballot form. Surely, it is not to difficult for UKIP to organise an electorial ballot within its own rules? Obviously not!!!! |
