John,
Did you speak? Don't you understand that I am on your side, I just want you to be honest and open. You have something to bring to the table. You will not be a MEP this time round. Think where you will be in 5 years time and behave as if that is what you want. You can be a MP/MEP at the age of 30; that's something that we older guys envy. Behave as that is your ambition. Really you have come across badly, try harder and you will store gifts in heaven. Please, please, please, listen!!!

Aardvark,
I did speak during the Hustings part of the Rally, I believe it went well although it is not for me to say. I understand that some people have reacted to what I have had to say on this forum, I have apologised for some of what I said, but I don't believe that I must cower to some of my detractors just to be popular! I realise that I have many years ahead of me, but I would like to push myself into politics now and I am doing so - I regularly tour my local area raising different issues with them and present them with the UKIP option, there have been some very positive results from this. I stress again that we should stop talking because too much talk turns into doubts and we begin doubting ourselves and ultimately, the party - something I do not want to happen. I am listening - I listened to the words of our 'despondent member' and took on board his comments about the distinct lack of activism since 2004 - I felt that this forum is quite possibly a symptom of that. I am not attacking members of this forum - I am being realistic, perhaps a future possible member 'looking around' or 'checking out' UKIP suddenly finds this forum they would be put off joining UKIP or campaigning for UKIP. "The pen is mightier than the sword". yes Aardvark - we should listen, but would should also be careful of what we say! I look forward to your reply
